For those who enjoy riding with hounds, have you considered riding in Africa? When we rode for the first time in Botswana we were charged by a bull elephant: it's just like hunting in England, except that occasionally the fox [or in this case, the elephant] turns and you can experience the thrill of being hunted!
You
can also combine a short
riding trip with a more general wildlife
safari or for non-riding EABH supporters treat yourself to a
photographic or vehicle-based safari. From the safety of a vehicle you
can track Big Cats at close
quarters with no risk of being
plucked from your horse for dinner.
I first hunted with EABH in August
2004 when old-timer, Junior, was there to show me the ropes. Junior is
no longer with us but once my new companion is fit and
schooled enough I look forward to joining you again. Meanwhile
I have left BT, to spend more time around horses. Last month I set up
Horseback Safaris in conjunction with Safari Consultants who
have been selling holidays to Africa since 1983. Please let me know if
I can offer any advice or suggestions on how to plan your own African
adventure.

Ideal Presents
Beautiful quality supersoft fleece thickly quilted saddlepad (blue background with all over 'horse heads' print). Underside covered in navy blue fine soft fleece.
Edged in blue with very smart gold rope trim - with black girth and billet straps - each billet strap has a velcro fastening to allow easy removal and to adjust to different saddle shapes and sizes. Not so deep so probably best for a pony - measurements as follows - each side - top to bottom - 45cms - front to back at widest point 65cms. I have another identical saddlepad (but without the gold rope trim) for sale
and can also make a variety of numnahs and fleecy clothing to order.
Saddlepads are £8 each or £14 for two.
